Accessibility

WCAG 2.2

Strategy

Stakeholder Management

A project that started as a single accessibility audit and grew into an ongoing partnership built on trust, expertise and measurable impact.

The problem

The problem

Toyota's product model page had never been through a formal accessibility audit. With increasing awareness of digital inclusion and legal obligations around WCAG compliance, there was a clear need to understand where the page was failing its users and what needed to change.

The standard: WCAG 2.2 sets the benchmark for accessible digital experiences. Every finding was assessed against its criteria, ensuring recommendations were grounded in recognised guidelines rather than opinion, giving Toyota's team the confidence to act on them.

What we did

What we did

I audited the live page against WCAG 2.2 guidelines, identifying and documenting every failure with full context, what the issue was, why it failed the criterion, and a clear recommendation for how to fix it. Every finding was linked directly to its relevant WCAG criterion, making the output actionable for both designers and developers. The findings were collated into a prioritised list of improvements and presented to the client in a deck. The response was immediate, Toyota commissioned us for regular ongoing audits, now starting from Figma designs so accessibility is embedded from the very beginning rather than retrofitted at the end.

One audit. An ongoing partnership.

One audit. An ongoing partnership.

What started as a single piece of work became a template for how we approach accessibility across the business, and opened doors beyond Toyota too.
